assume that anger management courses are the best way to stop men from
using violence. The Domestic Violence Centre believes anger management
is outdated and wrong. Here's why.

Borderline Personality Disorder Their purpose is to provide a safe environment for
the education, healing and recovery of persons who are in a
relationship with someone who exhibits traits of Borderline
Personality Disorder (BPD). Being involved with someone with BPD
traits is disorienting, painful and often damaging. Although not all
abusers are BPD, many are and it is worth chekcing out. As a bonus,
this is one of the few sites that knows that abuse has to have a
Willing partner in order to occur! Its a wonderful site.

Everyone has the right to be respected and the responsibility to
respect others. The bullies in our relationships are similar to the
bullies on the playground. The advice they give our children is the
advice we should use in our grown-up lives!

Anonymous.This is to learn how to set boundaries and
gain a healthy persepctive. We can not earn our partners respect by
being good, we have to earn respect by taking care of ourselves!
COSA is open to anyone whose
life has been affected by compulsive sexual behavior. An anonymous 12-Step
fellowship. This program teaches you how NOT to be co-dependent on your
partner.

and user friendly sites on abuse we have found. It also includes
domestic violence but does a good job of separating the two. Mentions
some topics that are hard to find like Spiritual abuse, cyberstalking,
Gay abusive relationships and where abused men can go for help.
Domestic Abuse Helpline
for Men
is a set of links and resources for men who are victims of domestic
violence or abuse. The site offers statistics on domestic violence
against men, alternative thoughts about domestic violence in general,
and referrals to domestic violence shelters that accept men.

Abuse Web Site. This is the
place for you if you think you may be in an abusive relationship or may
be abusive yourself. there is LOTS of great advice and you can also
find out about how your co-dependency may be part of the problem.

Survival Kit This
survival kit tells you what you can do if you are
threatened or hit by your spouse or partner. It is a self help guide
that explains your legal rights and how to get help from the legal
system
End Verbally Abusive Relationships:
This is an
anti
abuse, peer support group for targets of verbal abuse who are dedicated

is a compassionate witness. It acknowledges the
distressing and frightening circumstances that women live with who are
trapped in the cycle of a troubled, abusive, violent relationship. This
12-step program provides an opportunity for support, recovery,
and
personal freedom. The biggest probem we see with this site is its
leaning toward seeing you as the weak victim of a powerful perpetrator.
The definitions are great! They have a good udnerstanding of the
problem, yet are a bit weak on knowing that you can't be abused if you
don't allow it.
